Portrait
Oil portrait, sanguine and pastel
Drawn traditional portrait
Learning the proportions of the face with the different elements that constitute it, how these different elements adjust between them according to the position of the head. Learning the morphology of the head, and how to restore the character of the model with the trait to the blood or charcoal and especially how to "capture the likeness" of each model.
Oil portrait, sight-size
Traditional method developed by Leonardo da Vinci, unfortunately lost in France but often used by Anglo-Saxon portrait painters in the tradition of Sargent in particular. This so-called comparison method allows the artist to see his model and his work side by side and exactly on the same scale.
